Sabah Contractor is a Research Scientist at Eli Lilly based in Indianapolis, Indiana. She is a part of the leadership development program which allows her to rotate between three departments to learn about and work in the different areas of her company.
She recently finished her first rotation, during which she worked as a computational chemist to explore small molecule drug discovery. She is currently in her second rotation where she supports Lilly’s gene therapy platform in large molecule development. She has previous experience as a pharmaceutical scientist as she created a physiologically based pharmacokinetic models.
She graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering and a certificate in Business Foundations. During her time at school, she was a biology teaching assistant and a student technician at Texas Invention Works, a makerspace.
In her free time, Sabah enjoys kayaking and hiking in the many state and national parks in Indiana.
My name is Samiya Majid and I’m a fourth-year biomedical engineering major at Virginia Commonwealth University.
